I have been working in the private sector geospatial industry for over 25 years providing many geospatial products including aerial photography, orthoimagery, lidar acquisition and derivative products, and GIS products and services to private, state, local, and federal clients. Having been a member of IGIC for many years it has been exciting to see the support from IGIC for projects, mini-grants, conferences, peer-to-peer support, and all the ways to support GIS within our State. Over the years I have also introduced GIS advantages and implemented within public safety and emergency management agencies within the state to facilitate rapid response and geolocating to assist with incident planning and response. Being a member of our local fire department for over 20 years has provided great opportunities to help bring GIS to public safety. I enjoy sharing what GIS can do for others and helping them realize their world in ways some have not done before.
