Over the river and through the woods……….

Just in time for all of you who are traveling to (or through) lovely Davenport for the holiday season, Microsoft Virtual Earth has unveiled a ton of new imagery around the world that includes a nice update for Davenport that includes 3D structures and 15cm aerial photography draped on top.

Maybe you aren’t headed to Davenport but someplace less exotic.

If you do make it to Davenport and have some free time available, maybe you could look up Ray Weiser. I tried panning around to see if he stuck his head out the window and waved on the day the imagery was acquired but I didn’t see him.

You will need to install the Microsoft viewer software to get the full functionality if you haven’t already done so, but its worth it. Don’t forget to turn click on the 3D button to get the full picture.
